Affiliate disclosure
The short version: some links here earn us a commission, you pay the same either way, and nobody pays to be featured.
Which links are affiliate links
Every "Check live availability and prices" button, and every in-text link that goes to a tour listing, points to GetYourGuide or Viator and carries our affiliate tag. If you book after clicking one, the platform pays us a percentage of its own commission. Your price is identical to the price you would see going to the listing directly.
These are currently the only two affiliate networks on the site. If we add hotel links through Expedia or Travelpayouts, this page and the sitewide footer disclosure will name them before the first link goes live, not after.
What it does not change
- Ordering. Every category page sorts by review count, highest first. No operator can buy a position, and we have not been offered one.
- Inclusion. All 61 listings we found on the two platforms are here, including the ones with no reviews and the ones we think are overpriced.
- What we say about them. The most expensive listings on this site carry a note saying so. The polar bear pages tell you not to book a day tour expecting one.
- Things we earn nothing from. Dog sledding and kayaking have no listing on either platform, so we send you to operators who sell direct and make nothing from it. The museums, the brewery and the walk up Platafjellet on your own pay us nothing either, and they are still in the guides.
Ratings, review counts and prices
Every rating and review count on this site is the platform's own number, read off the live listing on 7 August 2026. We do not average them, round them up, or hide the small ones. Prices are the from-price shown at that moment, in US dollars, and they move with your travel date and your country, which is why every page defers to the live listing.
If you would rather not use our links
Search the operator's name on GetYourGuide or Viator directly and book there. We would genuinely rather you took the trip. The season comparison and the guides work perfectly well as research whether or not you click anything.
